Silence at 30,000 feet

A MINUTE'S silence was held for the 11 Israeli athletes murdered at the 1972 Munich Olympics . . . at 30,000 feet.

Last Friday's easyJet flight from Luton Airport to Israel, witnessed a momentous occasion as the pilot requested the passengers fall silent to remember the slain athletes.

An easyJet spokesman said: "A passenger made a request to our cabin crew that, as the aircraft was flying over Munich, a minute's silence be observed as a mark of respect."
