KATEPHEASEY is organising a school reunion for the year intake 1963 of Abbeydale Girls' Grammar School, Sheffield, but she needs help tracing one of her old classmates.

Kate, who was known as Katy Draper, has found three of the four Jewish girls in the year. She is now trying to complete the jigsaw by finding Julie Plant.

Julie, who will be approaching 50, lived in Eccleshall Rd South, Sheffield, before moving to Leeds with her family around 1969. She had two older sisters one of whom was called Elizabeth.

''Her best friends, Jill Tate, Maxine Mann and Dorothy Allen, are particularly anxious to see her again,'' Kate said.

The reunion is being held on April 20.

A UNIVERSITY student is trying to discover her maternal great-grandmother's background. In particular, she would like to know is she is Jewish.

ERIKE JENNISION was born Erna Kohn in Stettin, Germany, on July 18, 1918. She came to Britain in 1945 after marrying a British army soldier, Arthur Jennison. The couple lived at Maghull base in Liverpool before they separated. Erike still lives in Liverpool

''When my mother was young, she was taken by her grandmother to Jewish households where they observed the Sabbath and practised other Jewish customs,'' the student says. ''I am curious as to my origins.''

LOUIS ZETLER of Israel wants to find the descendants of Jenny Lewis (nee Grosberg).

The Lewises were married in Leeds but subsequently divorced. Jenny died in Johannesburg on August 8, 1951. According to her estate file, she had two sons, Ronald and David Lewis, who are believed to have moved to Edinburgh.
