MORE than 130 people attended the first Friday night dinner of Leeds Jewish Society's new committee.

They followed this up with a successful launch party the next week at a bar in the city centre.

The committee decided on a Rubik's Cube theme for the night with free t-shirts and drinks provided, alongside bright UV body paint and a series of competitive challenges for clubbers.

The ingenious students also projected the night's Twitter feed onto a television screen, to which guests were able to send tweets and post photos on during the night.

The new committee is aiming to continue providing Leeds J-Soc with the "best entertainment, speakers and events throughout the next year", said committee member Joel Mullish.
