Exhibition shows how light can vanish

AN exhibition space has been constructed on the roof of the Azrieli Mall in Tel Aviv with the entire exterior walls painted a very dark grey.

Within its even darker walls, is a collection of absolutely heart-shattering photographs, film and artefacts.

They are accompanied by soul-stretching prose, focused on the horrific Hamas terrorist-led atrocities against Israelis on October 7, 2023.

Entitled “We Shall Rise”, the exhibition is an immersive art installation.

It combines the work of Israeli photographer Ziv Koren, an award-winning documentary and photo-journalist of international renown, and Noam Horev, a highly thought of Israeli writer and content creator, seen by many as one of the country’s most prominent cultural voices in present times.

The somewhat unusual choice of venue takes you from standing on the roof of the multi-storey Azrieli Mall into the depths of darkness contained within the walls of the temporary construction on the rooftop.
