MOISHY ROTHSTEIN went to spend Pesach with his grandparents in Israel and was meant to return to England on April 15.
But when he went to check-in at Ben Gurion airport last week there was no one there to tell passengers that flights had been cancelled.
“My main concern is that there was meant to be someone at the Jet2 desks to give us a message about the situation – but there was simply no one to talk to,” Moishy, of Salford, explained.
“There were representatives from other airlines, but no Jet2 ground staff.”
Moishy, who was travelling with Chavi Chein, of Cheadle, and her eight children, were simply told to call Jet2 in England — but when they did there was no response.
“We didn’t find out what was happening until a day later and even when Chavi’s husband went to Manchester airport to talk to Jet2 they refused to speak to him,” he said.
“They just turned him away and said they would only to speak to Chavi because she is the one travelling - I think it’s disgusting.”
He added: “I probably wont be flying with Jet2 again because they should have had someone there to tell us what to do.”
Moishy, who is an HGV driver has missed out of work but feels lucky that he has family in Ashkelon to stay with.
