The eight youngsters headed out to the Summerseat area in Bury to walk a 22km route. The students are also busy completing the three other sections of their individual Award.

JLGB's northern DofE co-ordinator Steve Weller said: "The enthusiasm and energy shown by the boys is a great tribute to them and the commitment shown by the school. Over the next few weeks planning will start for their assessed expedition which will take place later in the summer term."
