AFTER a sold-out Olivier Award-winning run at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and a triumphant stint at the Barbican, Fiddler on the Roof is setting off on a UK and Ireland tour later this month.
And there is a fresh face stepping into the shoes of matriarch Golde: West End stalwart Jodie Jacobs.
“Landing the role has been a bit surreal,” she told the Jewish Telegraph during a break in rehearsals.
“I still keep thinking someone’s going to tap me on the shoulder and say, ‘we’ve made a mistake’.”
But it is no mistake.
